eCollector Portable
eCollector Portable is a Java based application that provides simple, fast and defensible electronic file collection for remote physical sites, sales force capture or any circumstance where a server implementation may not be possible.
Project Setup: Predefined Project and Custodian lists are exported from eCollector Enterprise, providing pick list selections for documenting file source and chain of custody information. Additionally, newly identified Custodian information may be entered on the fly, providing for dynamic Custodian list generation.
Collection: Files may be collected by directory or individual file through the File Explorer tab, Additionally, the use of file lists and directory lists, including recursive directory selection.
Aggregation: Upon collection completion, drives are returned to the central eCollector Enterprise server and integrated into the central project repository. Once the aggregation process is complete, there is no distinction between file collected through eCollector Enterprise or eCollector Portable.
Flexibility: Files may be collected from any mapped network source or removable media. Local files, network file, CDs, thumb drives or any other device that supports file storage may be collected. Apple, Linux and Unix operating systems are also supported.
